A delicious and sweet Meat-free Christmas Glazed Ham to celebrate the festive season.
1 x Fry’s Vegetarian Polony Slicing Sausage (defrosted for two hours)
¼ cup x Apricot jam
½ cup x Cranberry sauce
1 tbs x Honey mustard
1 bunch x Parsley
1 can x Pineapple slices (rings)
1 punnet x Cherry tomatoes
Preheat the oven to 180C°
Bake the Fry’s Vegetarian Polony Slicing Sausage (whole and uncovered) in a shallow roasting pan for 15 minutes.
While the Polony is in the oven, prepare the glaze. Combine the cranberry sauce, apricot jam and honey mustard in a medium saucepan. Cook over a medium heat, stirring occasionally. Do not let the mixture boil. Remove from the heat and set aside for 15 minutes to allow the glaze to cool and thicken slightly.
Lightly slice the top of the Polony diagonally in both directions to create a diamond effect. Spread the glaze liberally all over the Polony and bake for another 15 minutes or until it’s golden in colour. Reserve the remaining glaze.
Take the Polony out of the oven. Gather the glaze that has sunk to the bottom of the pan and re-spread on top of the Polony. Bake for a further 5 minutes.
Transfer the Meat-free Christmas Glazed Ham to a serving dish. Surround the dish with parsley, and top with pineapple and cherry tomatoes. Serve with the remaining glaze.
